Operatives of the International Police, INTER-POL, have picked up the first son of the Chief of Staff to Adamawa State Governor, Abdurrahman Abba Jimeta.
Suleiman Abba Jimeta, Alias Babajo, was earlier arraigned along four others for burglary and car theft and then released on bail.
The five were alleged to have stolen $10,000 and a Toyota Avalon car from the residence of one Umaru Fali in Yola. The stolen vehicle was sold in Niger Republic.
Security sources disclosed that the suspects were involved in cross border crimes.
The spokesman of the Adamawa Police Command, S.P Othman Abubakar confirmed the new development, saying the Interpol had taken over the case.
While four of the suspects confessed to the crimes, Suleiman Jimeta was said to have denied involvement.
