Counsel to Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim, the PDP candidate for the November 26 gubernatorial election in Ondo State has announced his withdrawal from the suit now at the Court of Appeal.

The counsel, J. A. Badejo, SAN, said yesterday that in view of what transpired in court, he would seek the court’s leave to withdraw his representation.

“I am asking for the leave of the court to return the case file to my client. This is my 36th year in practice and I have to protect my integrity. Therefore, I plead with the court to adjourn the matter for me to return the case to my client.

“I don’t really enjoy the environment, so I want to leave. I have looked at everything dispassionately and I know God is watching us. I have my integrity to protect,” he said.

Weeks ago,  another counsel withdrew over unpaid legal fees.
