NASARAWA COMMUNITY WITHOUT ANY TRACE OF GOVT PRESENCE, THE STORY OF GIDAN KURA

Gidan Kura is a settlement in Karu Local Government of Nasarawa State. It is located across the road when you are at Uke, which to yhose who love good things of life is called Zimbabwe.

The community, like many around it is not lucky to have friends in power. As a result, they do not have any significant government presence. No motorable road, no portable water or borehole and the only semblance of a school operates under trees in the community. During the raining season, the school folds up.

But they are remembered during elections as politicians move in to canvas for votes.

This is the lot of Chief Danjuma Habu Sagaza, the Sapezeyi of Gidan Kura and his community.

Below are pictures from the community.
