SEE THE GOVERNOR WHO HAS SPENT THE MOST TIME OUTSIDE NIGERIA SINCE MAY 29, 2015

LALONGPlateau State governor, Simon Lalong has left Nigeria for London in the United Kingdom in his ninth foreign trip in one year, Daily Trust findings have revealed.

The governor left Plateau state on Friday in company of some top government officials, and took off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, on Sunday, according to findings by our reporter.

He is leading a state delegation to that country barely a month after he returned from China, Daily Trust learnt, although the state government did not make the trip and its purpose public as at press time.

Lalong’s media aide, Emmanuel Nanle, confirmed the London trip.

“We took him to the airport on Sunday”, Nanle said. “It is a four-day trip. They are due back into the country on Thursday morning.”

“The governor travelled in company of two ministers and three other governors for an economic summit which the VP (Vice President) is supposed to be making. The VP is being represented,” Nanle said.

When he returned from China in May, Governor Lalong confirmed that he has travelled out of the country for eight times since resumption of office last year, in reaction to our earlier cross-country report on state governors’ foreign trips. He however, did not state the purpose of those trips.
