Less than a month to the 2-header decisive matches between Nigerian Super Eagles and the Pharaohs of Egypt, the Coach of the Senior National team threw in the towel last night claiming unpaid salaries, lack of amiable working environment as his reasons.
Oliseh, who was heavily criticised for Nigerian ouster at last month’s CHAN where the country did not qualify for the second round, had been in the news in recent times for the wrong reasons. Curiously, his appointment elicited a lot of criticisms and praises as the football pundit had made a name for himself attending various coaching courses and serving on a FIFA Techincal Committee that assessed the last World Cup in Brazil. but his critics believed he lacked the man-management and human relations that was needed to coach the Nigerian senior national team. Moreover, he had practically no coaching experience. He was in charge for only eight months.
