The Nigerian Army on Wednesday recovered nine (9) corpses of soldiers and an officer killed at Borno Yesu. They were killed in an ambush mounted by Boko Haram along Gubio, Magumeri road in Magumeri local government area in northeast, Nigeria. A statement from Brig. EFCC RECOVERS 328BIL FROM OIL MARKETERS

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that a recovery N328.9 billion from oil marketers. The commission in a recent statement said its Kano state office recovered the money from nine major oil marketers in twelve months. EFCC said the recovery followed a petition received by the commission from a Law firm B.I Murtala and Co against the management of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The Chairman Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Professor Itse Sagay, SAN,  has advocated stiff punishment for senior legal counsels who obstruct or frustrate legal proceedings on high-profile corruption cases. Sagay, who spoke on Tuesday at a media roundtable by a human rights advocacy group, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, noted that such punishment for SANs must include denial of the right of appearance in such corruption cases.
