The Nigeria Senate has reacted to the allegations of stolen N500 billion at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institution dismissed the allegations on Wednesday at plenary. This was as Governor of the CBN, Godwin Emefiele appeared before the committee for screening and confirmation for second term. FATHER CHARGED TO COURT FOR STRANGLING HIS 11-MONTH OLD DAUGHTER TO DEATH IN OSUN

An Osun state Magistrate court on Wednesday, ordered that a 40-year-old man,  Abiodun Fatunmise, accused of killing his 11-month-old baby, be remanded in prison. Magistrate Olukunle Owolawi did not take the plea of the defendant on the grounds of lack of jurisdiction. Fulani herdsmen with machetes are said to have attacked Owa-Alero in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, hacking a woman working on her farm.
