5 ARRESTED FOR WRITING FAKE THREAT LETTERS IN KADUNA

Southern Kaduna: 5 arrested for writing ‘fake’ threat letters

The Kaduna State police command, working in collaboration with other security agencies in the state, have arrested five persons writing letters threatening to attack  communities in the Southern senatorial zone of the state.

State commissioner of police, Mr. Agyole Abeh, who briefed newsmen shortly after the Kaduna State Security Council Meeting, said the police found out that those behind the threat letters were different from those suspected to be carrying out the attacks.

He said the arrest coupled with other work done by security agencies since they were redeployed to Southern Kaduna had yielded fruit and that peace had returned to the area.

The commissioner said those arrested for trying to incite the people with letters of threats of attacks would soon be paraded and their identities revealed.
