BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The unprecedented figure of deaths being recorded in the ancient city of Kano is becoming more and more baffling and difficult to unravel.
This followed the demise of another academia on Monday. He is Dr Ghali Kabir Umar of the Department of Architecture of the Kano State University of Science and Technology.
This was contained in a statement by the Management of the institution signed by its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa in which he said he regrets to announce the death of Arch. Dr. Ghali Kabir Umar, of the Department of Architecture.”
The Late Ghali until his death was a Head of Department and a senior lecturer in the department of Architecture, Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil.
Alhaji Musa therefore prayed for Allah to forgive the shortcomings of Dr Umar and reward him with Jannatul Firdaus.”
The death of Dr. Ghali Kabir Umar on Monday has so far brought to five, the number of erudite scholars Kano State has lost within the last 72 hours.
