ABDUCTORS OF CHINESE AND NIGERIAN FROM KWARA MINING SITE DEMAND 1BILLION NAIRA RANSOM
The development was made public by security analyst Zagazola Makama through his verified (formerly Twitter) account on Friday. According to Makama, the kidnappers used the victims’ mobile phones to contact an associate, Mr. Leo Liang, to communicate their ransom demand.
The attack, which unfolded during a daytime assault on the site, also claimed the lives of two Police Mobile Force officers who were deployed to protect the expatriates.
Authorities, including local vigilante groups and security agencies, have since launched a search-and-rescue operation in hopes of safely recovering the abducted individuals.
