Former assistant coach of the Super Eagles Daniel Amokachi, has announced via his facebook page that his twin sons Kalim and Nazim will train with Turkish side Besiktas. Now 18, they will be hoping to take after their father who made a name for himself playing for Besiktas in Turkey, although only one of them plays same role as him during his playing days.
One who predominantly plays with his right foot is a forward while the other a left footer plays as a winger. Amokachi played for Besiktas from 1996 to 1999 scoring a total of 19 goals for the Turkish giants in 77 games which made him a firm fan favorite at the club and it appears his legendary status has worked in his sons’ favour.
The identical twins also spent time on trials with Amokachi’s former side Everton in 2009 training with the U-13 of the team but were reportedly not offered deals by the club. 43-year-old Amokachi is presently the head coach of Finnish second division side JS Hercules.
