The primary holds on August 19 in the state.

He said all the aspirants complied with the guidelines and that they all signed an undertaking form assuring that they would all support whoever emerges eventually as the candidate of the party.
The National Organising Secretary, Senator Osita Izunaso, who congratulated the aspirants for being competent to stand for the primary, added that the next phase would be that of appeal panel, should there be any need for such.
He also commended the aspirants, saying, “So far, we have not received any report of violence among all the aspirants.
“We urge you to carry on and we are very hopeful that one of you will eventually emerge as the next governor of Anambra State. ”
Speaking with journalists shortly after he received his clearance certificate, Senator Andy Uba assured members of the party that he would stand with APC, whether he eventually wins the party’s ticket or not; adding that the incumbent governor of the state “must pack his load and go because APC must win Anambra.”
