The National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, has been shut out of the emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting of the party on Tuesday.
The meeting was held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Omisore, who was among the early callers at the meeting, left the party secretariat without speaking to the media.
The meeting is the first since the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as national chairman of the party.
The reason for Omisore’s exclusion from the meeting is not yet clear.
It should be noted that The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abubakar Kyari, has taken over the leadership of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Kyari came into the meeting with the Deputy National Chairman (South) Emma Enukwu; National Vice Chairman (North West) Salihu Lukman; National Vice Chairman (North East) Salihu Mustapha; National Vice Chairman (North Central) Muazu Bawa; National Vice Chairman(South West) Issacs Kekemeke; National Vice Chairman (South East) Ejoroma Arodiogu and the Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter.
