APC SUMMONS PARTY’S GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANTS TO ABUJA OVER ONDO CRISIS

The All Progressive Congress (APC) national leadership Wednesday announced that it has summoned all the 25 governorship aspirants under the party for a meeting in Abuja.
The party made this known to journalists at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja after its National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.
The Ondo State chapter of the APC has been enmeshed in crisis over allegations of endorsement of a governorship aspirant by the National Leader of APC, Senator Bola Tinubu. The situation on Tuesday led to the impeachment of state chairman of the party, Isaac Kekemeke, by some party members and he was replaced by Saka Ogunleye as chairman
Meanwhile, one of the governorship aspirants, Mr. Akinwale Akingbade has stated that the crisis in the state party of APC would be resolved soon.
Akingbade, who reacted to the crisis in a telephone conversation, stated that members of the party should be able to come together and listening to the party.
According to him the aspirants should be able to believe the national leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu on his position that he has a right to support an aspirant but would also support anybody that wins the primaries.
