These are not the best of times for the Bauchi government. Weeks after the State Governor came out of isolation negative have having spent months down with Coronavirus, his deputy has caught the dreaded disease.
According to a Statement released this evening, Baba Tella, the State Deputy Governor has tested positive. He was until now, the one coordinating the government response to Coronavirus in the State. Thus, the statement linked the latest development with his duty as the head of the team managing the pandemic in the state.
The statement also revealed that they have begin contact tracing to ensure that all those who interacted with him are tested or taking into quarantine while the Deputy Governor has gone into isolation and commencement of treatment
