BAYELSA DEPUTY GOVERNOR, LAWRENCE EWHRUDJAKPO SLUMPS IN OFFICE RUSHED TO HOSPITAL

Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, deputy governor of Bayelsa State, on Thursday reportedly collapsed and was immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa.

Vanguard reports that the incident occurred in his office, triggering an urgent medical response. Eyewitnesses said he was in “serious condition” when he was taken into the hospital’s emergency unit.

Senator Ewhrudjakpo is now stabilised in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the FMC.

While no official statement has been issued on the cause of the sudden health scare, sources indicate it may be linked to “a cardiac emergency.”

Security operatives have cordoned off the hospital, and senior government officials have been trooping in to show concern.

Medical sources at the facility say the deputy governor is receiving “the best possible care” and remains stable.
