Senator Ben Murray-Bruce who is the chairman of the Senate committee on Privatization, led members of his team to inspect some Federal roads in his home state, Bayelsa state yesterday and he was deeply angered by what he saw. Expressing himself via social media this morning, he wrote
“Yesterday, committee members and I, went on inspection of federal roads in Bayelsa state. It is sad that there is no federal project ongoing in Bayelsa. The last time a federal road was commissioned in Bayelsa was during the time of Gen. Yakubu Gowon. Those roads are now dilapidated! See Nembe-Brass, no road! I am sad and angry, and so are members of my committee. We will see to it that these roads are included in next year’s budget!”.
