BREAKING NEWS: WIFE OF CBN GOVERNOR, MARGARET EMEFIELE KIDNAPPED

A group of heavily armed kidnappers yesterday abducted Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.

A source close to Mr. Emefiele told SaharaReporters that Mrs. Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road.

The source disclosed that the kidnappers have made contact with their victim’s husband, adding that they were demanding a huge sum in ransom.

Mrs. Emefiele’s kidnap represents one of the most high-profile kidnap cases in 2016.

The abductors of Margaret, the wife of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, have demanded a ransom of N100 million, The Eagle Online has learnt.
Impeccable sources told The Eagle Online that the demand was made shortly after the kidnap of Margaret on Thursday.
She was said to have been kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road.
The kidnappers, who got in touch with Emefiele, a top police officer in the Office of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, told The Eagle Online, vowed not to release their victim until the ransom is paid.
It was gathered that Idris has deployed the Intelligence Response Team under his office and other crack detectives within the Force to rescue Margaret unhurt and without paying any ransom.
