BRIDE TAKES HER LIFE AFTER GROOM, HIS FAMILY CONDEMN HER WEDDING DRESS

A 19-year-old bride, Lyaman Mammadli, has reportedly taken her own life after facing harsh criticism from her husband’s family, who described her wedding dress as “too revealing” and “shameful.”
According to Mail Online, the young bride from Mingachevir, Azerbaijan, was accused of looking “naked” on her wedding day simply because her gown left her shoulders uncovered.
Her father, Murad Bayramov, said the situation spiraled out of control after his daughter’s groom, 33-year-old Elnur Mamedli, and his parents confronted her over the outfit shortly after the ceremony.
“My daughter’s groom and his parents caused a fight in my home because of her wedding dress,” the grieving father said. “My daughter couldn’t bear it and took her own life.”
Bayramov dismissed reports that his daughter had been pressured into marrying an older man, insisting that the real issue was the argument over her attire.
He recounted that Elnur and his parents visited their home after the celebration, accusing Lyaman of bringing shame upon their family.
“They said, ‘What a disgrace. How could you let your daughter wear such a shameful, revealing dress?’” he said. “We told them it was a normal gown, the kind many brides wear. But they wouldn’t calm down and kept arguing. The dispute even continued the next day.”
The father said his daughter became deeply distraught by the ongoing humiliation and emotional turmoil, leading her to take her life in their family garden.
Her husband attended the funeral, but Bayramov said he refused to let him or his family stay.
“I kicked them out,” he said bitterly.
Police have launched an investigation and are reportedly considering whether to open a criminal case over the alleged bullying that preceded the tragic incident.
