BUA CHAIRMAN, ABDUL SAMAD RABIU MEETS TINUBU, PROMISES TO BRING DOWN PRICE OF CEMENT

The Chairman of BUA Group Abdul Samad Rabiu today met President BOLA Tinubu and pledged to work assiduously to ensure that the price of cement is reduced in the country.

This was announced by the Chairman of the company, Abdul Samad Rabiu, after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja today.

Speaking on the visit, Abdul Samad Rabiu said that in order to support the efforts of the government to bring down the prices of key commodities, the company is adding two new plants at the end of the year to be commissioned by President Bola Tinubu, bringing BUA Cement’s total capacity to 17million metric tons. This will enable the company bring down the price of cement to about 3500 naira per bag.

Recall that a couple of weeks back, during the Annual General Meeting of BUA Cement, the Chairman of the Group had pledged that he would do everything to ensure that the price of cement is brought down in order to support the policies and programmes of the government towards making life meaningful for NIGERIANS. He had also promised, to meet the relevant government officials in a bid to map out how he would do this.
