CHRONICLE OF TERROR ATTACKS IN KWARA AS STATE RECORDS 179 BANDITS INVASIONS IN 9 MONTHS – SOURCE
Since January 2025, Kwara state under Governor @RealAARahman has recorded at least 179 banditry-related incidents, surpassing rates in neighboring Niger and Kogi States.
In July alone, three vigilantes were killed in an ambush near Gbugbu, Edu LGA, forcing the indefinite closure of the bustling Gbugbu International Market.
In June, terrorists invaded a mining site in Oreke-Okeigbo, Ifelodun, killing two police officers and abducting a Chinese national.
Earlier in April, gunmen ambushed a bus near Obbo Aiyegunle, Ekiti LGA, kidnapping seven passengers en route from Abuja to Offa.
These assaults, including the recent attacks against citizens and residents of Kwara state are issues Governor @RealAARahman is supposed to declare emergency on.
Unfortunately, Governor @RealAARahman has been unable to tackle them, an action that has been described as an act of gross negligence and incompetence. This Governor has failed woefully.
