The group said that accusing ‎the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara,‎ and other principal officers of attempting to pad the 2016 budget without any tangible evidence, was generating unnecessary reactions from Nigerians. ‎

The coalition, which briefed newsmen in Uyo, weekend, questioned Jibrin’s claim that the speaker and other principal officers forced him to include for them projects worth about N30bn in the budget and allocated to them another N40bn out of the N100bn meant for constituency projects of members.
‎Speaking at the event, the coalition’s chairman, Alhaji Babangida Sulemanchok Jnr., said that if Jibrin was sincere about his claims, he should have raised an alarm earlier and not wait until July20 when the speaker sacked him from the chairmanship of the appropriation committee‎.
