A video of a prophetess allegedly selling what was described as “anti-bandit spray” inside a church has stirred controversy and heavy criticism on social media.
The clip, which has been circulating online, shows the prophetess standing at the altar while members of the congregation formed a queue to the front. Each person could be seen handing her money before receiving a small spray bottle in return.
The audio in the video was not very clear, but the person who shared it claimed the spray was being sold as protection against bandits.

The moment the footage hit social media, Nigerians trooped to the comment section, questioning why a religious leader would commercialize something as sensitive as security, especially at a time when many communities are suffering attacks.
Some accused her of exploiting fear for profit, while others asked the authorities to look into such practices.
