Osinbajo meets 3 govs over land dispute

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday met with the governors of Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Ebonyi States.

The closed-door meeting was held at the vice president’s wing of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Rising from the meeting, the governors looked angry and left the Presidential Villa without speaking to State House correspondents. It was gathered that Osinbajo met with the governors over the killings of about 20 people in the recent boundary dispute between Akwa Ibom and Cross River communities.

The incident was reportedly caused by a boundary dispute between people of Oku Iboku in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and those of Ikot Offiong in Odukpani LGA in Cross River State.
