EDO ASSEMBLY SUMMONS NATASHA OVER ACTIONS DRAGGING THE INSTITUTIONS TO DISREPUTE

BENIN-CITY: The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency, Natasha Irobosa, directing her to appear before its Ethics and Privileges Committee within one week over alleged misconduct.

Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, who issued the directive during plenary on Tuesday, said the lawmaker must explain why her recent actions widely circulated on social media have allegedly dragged the image of the Assembly into the mud.

Agbebaku said the House would no longer tolerate conduct capable of bringing its members into disrepute, stressing that the Assembly is made up of cerebral, educated individuals whose reputation must be protected.

The committee is expected to conclude its investigation and submit its findings within two weeks.

Irobosa has been trending online following a viral video showing an altercation with her husband, popular musician Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia, which sparked widespread public reactions.
