He said this at a breakfast meeting in Lagos with Adesina, organised by the Christian Press Association of Nigeria (CPAN).He said: “President Buhari has given his word that Leah Sharibu would be released, and he would do everything he could to bring her out.”
He called on Christians to participate in politics, as by doing so, they would be Christ Ambassadors and live above board. Adesina, nonetheless, asked for prayers for those in government. He also ruled out rumours that Nigeria would be Islamised, as Nigeria would always maintain her status quo by remaining a secular state.
He agreed that every position in governance has its temptation, though as a Christian, one is expected to be a good example to others.
President of Nigeria CPAN, Bola Adewara said the meeting was not convened for political discussions, but to encourage Christians to participate in politics.
