A former Head of Service in Plateau state, Moses Gwom was on Tuesday killed alongside an off duty soldier and a shop attendant near his home in Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau state.
His death comes barely two weeks after suspected assassins invaded the home of 70 year old acting village head of Gyangyang village, Mohammed Suleiman in Kanam local government area of the state and killed him.
Chief of Staff, Operation Safe Haven, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Bello told Daily Trust on phone that Gwom was killed at his provision store close to the house adding that the assailants had equally shot and killed an off duty soldier who also in the shop as well as the shop attendant.
Bello explained that, “two other off duty soldiers were shot when the assailants were escaping but they are receiving medical treatment at our facility.”
Earlier, Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tyopev Terna told Daily Trust on phone that the assailants had attacked the about 9:20pm.
