FOUR PASTORS ARRESTED OVER COLLEAGUE’S WIFE’S DEATH AS DECEASED’ S FAMILY ALLEGES FOULPLAY

Four senior pastors of a Pentecostal church in Edo State have been arrested by men of the Zone ‘5’ police headquarters, Benin City, over the death of their colleague’s wife in Uromi town, Esan North-East Local government area of the state.

The pastors were arrested over their alleged roles in the death of one Pastor Kingsley Anayo’s wife, Faith.

Among those in police net is the deceased’s husband.

They were picked up after the deceased’s family petitioned the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 5 to investigate how their sister died in a motor accident.

An assistant pastor in the Benin branch of the church told The Nation he was aware of the arrest but only the Lagos head office could comment on the matter.

The elder brother of the deceased, Engr. Fidelis Evbuomwan, said the family lawyer was instructed to initiate the petition after the deceased’s husband gave conflicting accounts of  how his wife died in an auto crash in which he was also involved.
