The Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority Hajiya Hadiza Bala Usman and her Executive Management Team have uncovered Monumental fraud amounting to over N11.23 Billion at the Authority, according to official sources.
The amount of $24.1Million was traced to Heritage Bank, successor bank to the Societe General Bank owned by Bukola Saraki’s Family.
Sources said the Funds were collected by the Bank as Revenue to NPA, but the Bank in criminal connivance with some officials of the Ports Authority failed to move the funds into NPA’s treasury single account with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
They were hiding the money there,and earning huge Interests and Commissions” sources said.
The former Management of NPA, also failed to disclose the funds in its handing over note to new MD Hadiza Bala Usman.
Another Six Million Euros were found concealed in two banks, First Bank of Nigeria and First City Monument Bank sources said.
