IN REPEAT OF WHAT TRANSPIRED IN IMO GUBER ELECTIONS, TRIBUNAL AWARDS NON-EXISTING VOTES TO APC CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE IN AMAC, INEC KICKS
It will be recalled that Mr. Christopher Maikalangu, won the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) elections by polling 19,302 votes to defeat Murtala Usman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who scored 13,240 votes.
However, in a twist of events the FCT Election Tribunal judges awarded the loser non existent votes and nullified the emergence of the PDP candidate as winner of the Feb. 12 AMAC council elections.
Yesterday, reprieve came the way of the embattled chairman, during the appeal as INEC emphatically declared that those votes existed only in the imagination of the APC as they had no knowledge of the fake votes leading the FCT natives to demand for the NJC to act.
If allowed, the APC will continue to create fake votes after it has lost elections and use the courts to validate criminality like they did in Imo. We have decided to follow this case bumper to bumper and urge Nigerians to do same in order to prevent criminality from triumphing over the will of the people !!!
