The Ondo State Police Command says it has arrested some suspects in connection with the attack on the office of the Air Peace Limited at Akure Airport.
Some hoodlums were said to have broken into the office on Sunday, carting away undisclosed sum of money.
It was gathered that the police had arrested no fewer than 10 persons for the incident.
Some members of staff of the organisation were said to be among the people arrested.
Speaking with our correspondent on the telephone on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the arrest of some suspects, but declined to mention the number of persons arrested.
He said the burglary might involve people working in the organisation, explaining that the hoodlums entered into the airline’s office without breaking any door.
Joseph said, “The incident was a constructive burglary; there was no breaking of door or window or walls.
“The hoodlums entered into the office without any hindrance. This raised suspicion.
“It could be an insider conspiracy. We are still talking to them (suspects). We expect the management of the company to cooperate with the police because we want to get to the root of the matter in order to get the mastermind of the burglary.”
The police spokesman added that investigation was ongoing.
