INSPECTOR WOUNDED IN POLICE ARMY SHOOTOUT IN YOBE AGAIN

Police inspector, Udo Efiong, has been wounded  in a shootout between Military and policemen.

The shootout that took place in Gaidam, Yobe State Wednesday evening ensued between the armed personnels at a police check point, .

The Yobe state command police commissioner,  Mr Abdulmaliki A Sunmonu, said it was a small skirmish that transpired between the armed men, but the situation had been brought under control.

“One officer was wounded, no casualty as per death.  My OC Ops has visited the scene to give me details on what actually transpired,” he said

He advised the armed officers to embrace peaceful coexistence and not to use guns given to them to protect lives and properties against one another
