Justice Jude Okeke of an Abuja High Court this morning lambasted the prosecution for the manner in which it is handling the prosecution of Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, his wife and Joe Agi (SAN) over alleged receipt of gratification.
The judge noted that with the way the prosecution is doing, it showed that they were not ready for the trial.
He, however, warned that the court will no longer accept an instance where the prosecution will continue to delay the trial and that if the prosecution did not produce it’s witnesses at the next adjourned date, the court will be forced to do the needful.
The court later adjourned till today instead of tomorrow which the prosecution requested for.
The prosecution counsel, Segun Jegede had prayed the court for an adjournment till Wednesday in order to get his witnesses ready.
