 Makinde replies Wike, urges President Bola Tinubu to call him to order

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has strongly rebuked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike for converting governance most of the time to a personal enterprise.

The Governor who spoke through a Special Adviser, Dare Adeleke said that the former Governor of Rivers State who has resorted to calling others names following the crisis in the PDP is turning increasingly dishonest.

“As former governor of Rivers State and now Minister of the FCT”, Makinde’s top aide remarked, “he appears to have turned governance into a personal enterprise.”

Continuing, the Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor said, “I believe President Bola Tinubu should call him to order.”

He further asked, “How can someone, over personal grievances, seek to destroy political parties?”

He noted that Wike who is at the centre of the instability rocking the PDP was guilty of working to undermine opposing parties in order to ensure victory for the APC.

The former Rivers Governor, Makinde’s man hinted, is the arrowhead of a very dangerous plot to “destroy and eliminate” what is left of the nation’s opposition parties.”

The Governor’s spokesman referred to Wike’s persistent attacks on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party”, saying such remarks were “undemocratic and arrogant.”

He said the whole nation is acutely aware of the fact that the script being played by the FCT Minister is part of a scheme designed to ensure that Tinubu is re-elected in 2027 at all cost.

“I strongly condemn Governor Nyesom Wike’s undemocratic and arrogant remarks,” the spokesman is quoted as saying
