Nigerian Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has said that a Muslim will one day become President of the United States of America.
Gumi made the statement in a post on his verified Facebook page while reacting to the victory of Zohran Mamdani, who became New York City’s first Muslim mayor.
Celebrating Mamdani’s win, Gumi wrote, “Mamdani has made it! ICU in Washington should be ready for heart attacks! Muslims will make it to WH.”
Mamdani, 34, a Democratic candidate, defeated Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa in the mayoral race to emerge as winner — making history as New York’s first Muslim mayor.
