A Nigerian police officer has sparked nationwide outrage after a disturbing video surfaced online showing him making careless and insensitive remarks about the 25 schoolgirls abducted in Kebbi State.
The officer, whose identity has not yet been made public, was captured on camera speaking casually about the fate of the kidnapped students. Comments many Nigerians have described as shocking, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

In the clip now circulating widely, he is heard saying:

“The 25 girls taken in Kebbi State are in trouble. They would be pregnant by now. God forbid I’m the one sent to rescue them.”

The statement, delivered with alarming nonchalance, immediately drew backlash from social media users who say such behaviour erodes public confidence in the police at a time when families are still grieving and praying for the safe return of their children.

Many Nigerians have demanded that the Police Force identify the officer and subject him to disciplinary action, arguing that no security operative should speak about victims especially children in such a degrading manner.
