The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa is presently presiding over the meeting of the National Judicial Council holding in Abuja.
Zainab Bulkachuwa’s husband, Adamu controversially got the APC senatorial ticket for Bauchi North even though he did not win the primary election. Tuggar, who won, protested to no avail,claiming that his ticket was stolen because of Adamu Bulkachuwa’s wife whois the President of the Court of Appeal
The NJC on Sunday fixed the emergency meeting to deliberate on the suspension of Justice Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Council, sources learnt had asked the suspended CJN and the acting CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad to stay off the meeting .
However, the most Senior Justice after Muhammad, Justice Bode Rhodes -Vivour is not a member of the council, hence the nomination of Bulkachuwa by members of the council to preside.
