NSITF DIRECTOR, KEMI NELSON OPENS CAN OF WORMS ON NGIGE, HOW HE PADDED BUDGET, AND APPOINTED MAN WHO HE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE FIRED FOR FORGERY SINCE 2016 AS ACTING MD

Kemi Nelson, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund Executive Director of Operations has petitioned BUHARI calling for thorough investigation of what is happening at the Fund with a view to understanding the origins of its present leadership crisis.

In the letter dated 9th July 2020 exclusively made available to abujareporters, she stated that the supervising Minister, Chris Nigige obtained an approval of the Board for the suspension of the NSITF through the back door. She also alleged that the minister singlehandedly amended the budget of the Fund by inserting 1.2billion Naira as commission to contributors who ordinarily are not paid because they are performing their statutory functions.

Kemi Nelson claimed in the petition that the Acting Managing Director appointed by Nigige for NSITF has a case of forgery against him and was indeed penned down for dismissal since 2016 but Nigige overlooked it, rather picked the man as the head of the Fund because he has à motive to pocket the organisation for personal gains rather than altruistic motives.

She alleged that apart from holding 5 SUVs from NSITF, Nigige again inserted another 4 in the Fund’s budget and these have been delivered to his house.

Calling for a thorough and impartial investigation, the Lagos APC stalwart believed that that is the only way the President could unravel the pilfering that Ngige has been planning for the organisation.
