The king reportedly joined his ancestors at his palace in Okene, on Saturday.
The palace is yet to issue official confirmation on his death. Daily Trust understands that officials are taking some steps in line with tradition before making the news public.
However, a family member confirmed the news of the monarch’s demise in a Facebook post.

“May God Almighty forgive him his short comings, bless and accepts his soul in Aljanah firdous (amin). May the Almighty God grant us all the fortitude to bear the great loss. Rest on Aniku Bogiri.”
