ONDO INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE BOSS RESIGNS

The Executive Chairman Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Tolu Adegbie has resigned his appointment.
According to a statement he personally issued, Mr. Adegbie , said the decision is due to my recent appointment as a member of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Implementation Committee.
He said his new assignment will require my physical absence from the office over the next four months.
The statement added, With a heavy heart and in line with Section 12 (1), (a) of the Ondo State Revenue Administration law 2018, I wish to resign my appointment as the Executive Chairman Ondo State Internal Revenue Service effective immediately.
“This decision is due to my recent appointment as a member of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Implementation Committee, that will require my physical absence from the office over the next four months. While it is possible to run the office remotely because we have migrated a lot of our activities and processes on line, I believe that working remotely may be counter productive to this important National assignment. A copy of my letter of appointment is attached.
“I was able to grow the IGR of the State from N10.9billion as at December 2017 to N40.1b in December 2023 a growth of almost 300%. Our H1 2024 figures is N21.2b and if we maintain this run rate, we should surpass the 2023 FYE figure. I leave behind an ODIRS that is a well-structured, properly staffed and effective in the delivery of service and value to the State and its citizens whilst operating from a world class Headquarters building.
“It has been a privilege to be given an opportunity to serve my State in this capacity and I thank the late Governor and Your Excellency for this. I wish to assure Your Excellency that I will be grateful if I am considered again to serve Ondo State in any capacity after this National assignment.
“I have written a comprehensive hand over note and it is available with the DD (HR & ICT) at ODIRS’
Mr. Adegbie thanked governor Aiyedatiwa for giving him opportunity to serve.
