POPULAR MAKURDI BIZMAN FEEDS 500 PEOPLE FREE

A  popular business man and owner of Titogate eatery in Makurdi, Chief Isaac Akinkumi, has fed over 500 people with free food to mark this year’s World Food Day.
Akinkumi said the gesture which took place at his business premises along the railway, near the Low Level roundabout was his own way of marking the World Food Day and giving back to the society.
“Not everybody can afford to eat three square meals per day. On this United Nation’s World Food day, I try to feed somebody to make them happy,” he said.
He also stressed the need for governments to ensure supplements in foods in order to boost nutrients in the human body rather than letting the common people’s health degenerate to the point of drug consumption, especially when in excess.
Akinkumi urged the Benue State government to fully invest in Agriculture and as well make farming attractive to its teeming youths so as to continue to maintain its lead as the food basket of the nation.

Meanwhile, some beneficiaries of the free lunch thanked Akinkumi for the gesture.
