PRESIDENT’S DAUGHTER, FOLASADE TINUBU-OJO’S OUTLANDISH BIRTHDAY BASH RUFFLES FEATHERS IN THE VILLA
Though the birthday held in far away Sunday Adigun Street, in Ikeja Lagos, it reverberated across Lagos and news filtered into the ears of those that mattered in the Presidential Villa.
Preceding the birthday, a day earlier was the 10th year remembrance of late Alhaja Habibat Mogaji, the IYALOJA of Lagos. The remembrance took place at the premises of LTV and it was a crowd puller with Lagos Governor, Sanwo-Olu and top politicians from far and near around. This was on Thursday 15th June. Next day, The new Iyaoja of Nigeria Folasade, the President’s daughter held her birthday.
It was not a normal birthday. At the last count, a whopping 1,013 cars were alleged to have been given to the celebrant. Eye witnesses reveal that the least of the cars she was given as birthday gift would have cost about 20million Naira.
Even if the number was exaggerated, the state of art card she received, the calibre of Nigerians, especially from the Northern part of the country who attended the birthday of the self-proclaimed First Daughter of the Nation sent a signal which someone in the Presidential abode didn’t like. Just like the days of Buhari’s cabal who held court in the Presidential Villa and Billions exchanged hands for top posts, it was alleged that those who wanted positions in her father’s government were told to cough out between 500million Naira and 1billion Naira depending on which posts they wanted.
Impeccable sources gathered that the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu was angry with the whole charade. And she did not hide her feelings which curiously did not go down well with the President.
It was alleged that the President took side with his daughter playing up the cold war that had always existed between the First lady and her step daughter.
Well, the birthday has ended with hundreds of state of the art cars kept in Lagos while Folasade is back in Abuja the seat of government. Tomorrow, if you hear that the nation’s First Daughter is a car dealer, don’t forget we broke the story here.
