PRIMUS HOSPITAL ABUJA CLOCKS 10, PLANS BIG FOR ANNIVERSARY
Abuja’s number one surgical centre, Primus International Super Speciality Hospital will be ten years old this year and the management of the Hospital are planning big to mark the tenth anniversary of its establishment.
We gathered that the Hospital, which prides itself as the first in terms of Corporate Social Services among the hospitals in the country has kept the plans for the event in wraps but it likely to include series of free consultations in public places with a view to take healthcare delivery to the people.
Over the past ten years, Primus Hospital has visited many major public places in Abuja including Federal Secreatriat in Garki, Garki Mordern Market, Utako Morderm Market, Deidei Market, National headquarters of News Agency of Nigeria, Abuja Council of NUJ located in Jabi to mention a few with their free consultation services.
The idea behind this, according to our source is to ensure that people who would have ordinarily claimed to be too busy to come for medical checkup are given same checkup where they work or do business. Thousands of Nigerians are believed to have benefited from this as the hospital virtually moves its whole medical team to these places.
Apart from this, the Hospital also holds regular Health Camps within its premises in Karu, Abuja which also involves free consultation and people freely walk in to speak with specialists of various fields during such consultations.
It is widely believed that more of these consultations will be witnessed as the Hospital, popularly called Indian Hospital marks its ten years of operation in Abuja.
It is also worthy of note that more than any other hospital in the country, Primus is arguably one of the most patronised among the top shots in government and business, hence it has helped Nigeria in saving millions of dollars in terms of foreign exchange as super rich Nigerians prefer the place.
In the last couple of years, among the patients who freely associated with the hospital are serving and former Governors, Ministers and their relations as well as National Assembly members.
