QUESTIONS OVER WHETHER BUHARI’S SPEECH WAS A LIVE BROADCAST AND WHERE IT WAS RECORDED

Nigerians have a penchant for not believing their leaders not because the leaders are not forthcoming but because at times what the leaders say usually raise questions about their knowledge of the problems the followers have as well as whether there is sincerity behind their thoughts and actions.

BUHARI was virtually forced to address Nigerians two weeks after CORONAVIRUS had started devastating the country and destroying the little that is left of the people’s hopes.

But Nigerians are now asking whether the speech the President read was prerecorded in a London parlour or in Nigeria.

Pictures have surfaced online of a background that doesn’t look like the Nigerian State House in ABUJA thus creating the impression that the presidential address was indeed crafted and read outside the shores of Nigeria.

Questions are being asked by those who should know, which part of the Presidential Villa is this and where specifically was this recorded in ABUJA.

A few key issues in the speech also raised questions whether the speech writer really knew what he was writing about. That is if we also assume that BUHARI as usual, does not know what is happening in Nigeria.

For instance Nigeria has been partial lockdown for close to two weeks now with all schools closed on the orders of government. It is therefore out of place that the same government that ordered schools closed will be talking about sustaining school feeding program during this period even when it sent pupils home an initio.
