Air Marshall Isaac M. Alfa has petitioned the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta over what he called forgery/falsification of court records and attempt to interfere with the proper administration of justice by a serving Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Attai Aidoko.ALI IDOKO
Alfa, through his lawyer, Chief Godwin Obla, SAN in a letter of complaint dated June 24, but received in the office of the CJ on June 27, claimed that a judgment in suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1073/2014 between Air Marshall Isaac M. Alfa v PDP, INEC, Senator Attai Aidoko, given by Justice Dr. Nnamdi O. Dimgbe on April 28, 2016, may have been tempered with by probably senator Aidoko and the court registry staff.
The petition claimed that the forgery may have occurred in the document transmitted to the court of appeal, Abuja division in Appeal No. CA/A/260/2016 between Senator Attai Iadoko v Air Marshall Issac M. Alfa & 2ors.
In a copy of the complaint obtained by Nigerian Pilot, Obla, who said he was a councsel to Alfa at the federal high court, drew the attention of the CJ to an incident of falsification of court record in the said suit, particularly as it relates to PDP National Assembly Primary Election 2014, Kogi central, which formed part of the exhibits before the court and an exhibit upon which judgment was given in favour of his (Obla’s) client.
According to Alfa, Senator Aidoko appealed the judgment and served his client, I.M. Alfa records of appeal dated 4/05/16 containing the correct exhibit D, and that on June 23, 2016, the appellant, Senator Aidoko served on Alfa a supplementary record of appeal.
Alfa stated further, “In the supplementary record of appeal, it was noted that the said exhibit D, which the court recognised and gave judgment upon, amongst others, has been replaced with another document, which is the result of Kogi East Senatorial District, but still fraudulently labelled as exhibit ‘D’. While exhibit D in the court’s record is result sheet of PDP primary for Kogi Central Senatorial District, exhibit D in the supplementary copy is result sheet for Kogi East Senatorial District.
The petitioner therefore called on the chief judge of the FHC to look into the disturbing circumstances surrounding exhibit D and determine the level of involvement and culpability of members of the court registry and/or any other persons who may have been involved.
“My Lord, I must point out at this stage, that I know for a fact that the presiding judge in the case, Hon. Justice (Dr) Nnamadi Dimgba is unaware of the activities forming the subject of this complaint and is therefore helpless in resolving this situation. We are hopeful however that the steps that will be taken by my Lordship will rid the judiciary, particularly, the federal high court of corrupt, fraudulent elements bent on bringing the court to disrepute”, the petitioner prayed.
