The Chief Imam of Gabas Mosque, Kwandere in Lafia Local Government of Nasarawa State, Sheikh Abdullahi Liman, yesterday enjoined couples to tolerate one another and always dialogue for their marriages to work.
He made the call at the wedding fatiha between Muhammad Ibrahim Idda and Amina Ahmadu Almakura.
The groom is the son of Senator Ibrahim Ida from Katsina State while the bride is the daughter of the chief of Kwandare, Alhaji Ahmadu Almakura and elder brother to the former governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Almakura. The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, represented Governor Abdullahi Sule at the event.
The Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Dauda Bage (rtd) represented the bride’s family and the Dan-Madamin Katsina, Alhaji Sada Usman Usman Nagogo, represented the groom’s family on behalf of the Emir of Katsina, Dr Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
