PSG have finally got their hands on the Champions League 14 years on from the Qatari investment, and it’s was well worth the wait as they battered Inter Milan to win 5-0 in Munich

PSG ended their Champions League hoodoo with the most outrageous final performance in years to demolish Inter Milan.
The Parisians had become a joke in Europe’s top competitions – constantly bottling the knockout stages in some humiliations down the years, including Manchester United and Barcelona’s iconic comebacks.
Even when they did finally reach the final against Bayern Munich in 2020, they failed to turn up and were beaten 1-0 in a snoozefest of a final.
But all those years of hurt and torment have been ended with a 5-0 battering of the three-time European champions. And Luis Enrique’s side’s performance suggests they’re not moving from the top table for years to come.
Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring after 12 minutes before a double from Desire Doue either side of half-time ended what was left of the contest. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia added to the rout to score PSG’s fourth before Senny Mayulu scored number five.

Meanwhile, away from the celebrations in the Allianz and inside the Parc des Princes, where fans have been watching the game, there have been clashes in the streets of Paris with riot police.
Riot police charged and have deployed tear gas to disperse crowds near the stadium. While individuals have ran across and blocked traffic on the Ring Road in Paris, France before a BRAV-M mobile police unit attempted to disperse them. However, the unit retreated after projectiles were thrown.
Police also charged toward individuals on Champs-Elysees after France Police Prefect Nunez announced that 5,400 police personnel would be deployed in the city for the Manchester United and
