TINUBU SACKS THREE INEC RESIDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSIONERS, SEE WHY

President Bola Tinubu has sacked three suspended Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Adamawa, Sokoto, and Abia States.
The affected officials are Ike Uzochukwu (Abia), Hudu Yunusa-Ari (Adamawa), and Nura Ali (Sokoto).
They were suspended for alleged misconduct during the 2023 general election.
Tinubu informed the Senate of his decision through a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Wednesday’s plenary session.
The officials had been under suspension since March 2022, before Tinubu assumed office.
The President is expected to submit new nominees to fill the vacant positions soon.
